Worth of hard work

Those who get some good by doing work, they should keep doing it.

A person (Nandan) found a gardener in the garden. The owner had told him that there are not many trees in the garden, so he is thinking of selling the garden. Nandan started working diligently. He cleaned the place around the trees and planted many flowering plants. Nandan stayed in the garden and took care of tree plants. Due to the hard work of night and day, greenery started appearing in the garden all around. The income started by selling the flowers and fruits of the garden. The owner also became very happy with Nandan. One night, Nandan got a voice from a tree that he was happy with the hard work of Nandan and wanted to give money buried under the ground to Nandan. Hearing this, Nandan's happiness did not stop. He dug up the land and took out a pot full of money. He started thinking that his expenses are running from the pay of the month, when he goes to his house then he will take away the money. Thinking this, he suppressed the wealth in the backyard's ground. Now he started to think that he should leave early and go home. He did not feel like doing any work. The owner approved the leave after one month. Now Nandan has stopped taking care of the garden. He would spend all day thinking about money.

Without water, the plants started to wilt. But still, Nandan did not take care of trees and plants. Before leaving, when he saw digging the pit, the pot was full of ashes. He did not understand how it happened. Then the tree said that this wealth was the fruit of Nandan's hard work. When Nandan stopped working, his fruit was also destroyed.

The garden was not of Nandan. When he was only a gardener, the income was of the owner of the garden. Out of which, Nandan too would have got some amount. Anybody could invest that money. Money could be spent, but he acted greedily and due to the hard work, honesty, he got the money. Left with the same hard work and honesty. He could keep all the money while working honestly and hard as before. Luring all the wealth, he also adopted laziness, due to which all his hard work was lost.

 To get ahead in life, hard work is first required. Then it is also necessary to maintain that hard work. As long as you keep working, you will also keep climbing the steps of success and at these heights, you will also be waiting for you with a pitcher, pot and chest of money.
